The AJA IPT-10G2-HDMI is a robust Mini-Converter designed to bridge HDMI HD signals into a SMPTE ST 2110 IP environment. It receives HD baseband video and eight embedded audio channels via a full-size HDMI 1.4b interface, formatting the data for high-speed output over 10 GigE. This makes it an essential tool for integrating traditional HDMI sources into modern IP-based facilities.

Redundancy with Hitless Switching

Equipped with two 10 GigE SFP+ cages, the IPT-10G2-HDMI supports ST 2022-7 Hitless Switching. This provides critical redundancy protection by transmitting identical streams over two separate paths, ensuring uninterrupted signal delivery even if one link fails. Its rugged, fanless design is optimized for silent operation in studios or on-set environments.

Advanced Audio and Signal Processing

This converter maintains a full 10-bit pixel processing pipeline to preserve signal integrity. Audio management is equally flexible: users can utilize the eight embedded audio channels from the HDMI stream or input stereo audio via the integrated RCA connectors. All audio is synchronized and embedded into the SMPTE ST 2110 stream for seamless downstream compatibility.

Comprehensive Control and Portability

Managing the IPT-10G2-HDMI is straightforward via the dedicated Control LAN Ethernet port, which hosts a built-in web server for browser-based configuration. For initial setup and firmware updates, a mini-USB port is also provided.
