Warranty

General Info

• Vocas only supplies Business-to-Business (B2B) goods; therefore, the B2B warranty policy applies
• If you wish to make a warranty claim, please contact us
• Warranty is only valid for equipment purchased from Vocas, an original invoice must be provided upon request
• For some brands/equipment, we may ask the end user to contact the manufacturer directly to handle the warranty claim without further assistance from Vocas

Standard Limited Warranty

Vocas guarantees that the equipment is free from material or manufacturing defects during the warranty period (defined below).

Except for the exclusions described below, Vocas will, if the equipment does not meet this warranty and the buyer notifies Vocas in writing within the warranty period, repair or replace the equipment at no cost for labor or parts (at its discretion) under the conditions described below. If Vocas chooses to replace the equipment, and new equipment of the respective model is not available, Vocas may replace the equipment with a refurbished version of that model. In the event that neither new nor a refurbished model is available, Vocas will make reasonable efforts to provide a similar replacement, at its discretion, and if such a similar replacement is not available, Vocas will provide a suitable alternative replacement. If Vocas chooses to repair the equipment, Vocas requires the buyer to return the equipment at the buyer's expense to Vocas in Hilversum.

Warranty Period

The standard warranty period is one (1) year from the date of purchase, unless:

• The manufacturer provides a longer warranty period (see the table below for reference, but the manufacturer's information is always leading)
• The equipment has been repaired or replaced under warranty, in which case the warranty applies until the end of the original warranty period, or ninety (90) days from the date of such repair or replacement, whichever is longer
• The equipment is software, in which case Vocas provides a warranty on the media on which the software is delivered for ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase*
• The equipment is a used, second-hand, ex-demo, or B-graded product, in which case the warranty period is ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase by an end user
• The equipment has been repaired as a regular repair that does not fall under warranty, in which case the warranty period on the used parts and labor is ninety (90) days from the date of repair

*All software is provided 'as is' unless expressly stated in the accompanying documentation. Customers are advised to make backups of all software and/or data sent to Vocas or provided with products sent to Vocas. Vocas is not responsible for damage to or loss of programs, data, or other information stored on media or any part of the equipment that can be returned for service under this warranty.

Exclusions

The following is excluded from warranty:

• Damage caused by:
• Improper use, including (but not limited to) failing to use the equipment for its normal purpose in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions for proper use and maintenance
• Incorrect operation or maintenance of the equipment
• Connection to an incorrect power supply
• Attempts to repair by anyone other than a properly authorized service agent
• Use of the equipment in combination with accessories, products, or additional peripherals from third parties
• Equipment with a manufacturer’s serial number that has been altered, erased, removed, or made illegible
• Equipment that has been modified, adjusted, or changed without prior written consent from Vocas, including (but not limited to): upgrading the equipment beyond the specifications or features described in the user manual, or modifications to the equipment to comply with national or local technical or safety standards in countries other than those for which the equipment was specifically designed and manufactured
• Consumables
• Normal wear and tear of parts, as described by the manufacturer in service manuals, unless there is evidence of a manufacturing defect
• Damage to or loss of software programs, data, or removable storage media. Costs associated with uninstallation, reinstallation, or integration into a system
• Any additional exclusions that may apply to specific products or product types, the details of which are published on the Vocas website

Limitation of Liability

The above express warranty is the full extent of Vocas's liability. Accordingly, Vocas disclaims all other liability for loss or damage, however caused, arising from the purchase, possession, sale, or use of the equipment and all other express or implied terms and warranties, arising from trade usage or otherwise excluded herein. In no event shall Vocas be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, infringement of intellectual property rights, delays, or incorrect information or advice. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the statutory rights of the customer (if applicable) are not affected.

Customer Data on Media

Vocas is not liable to the owner of the data or any third party for loss, damage, or corruption of data, information, or images (collectively data) stored on media provided to Vocas. In the event that the media contains data whose destruction would result in loss to the owner, Vocas therefore recommends that the owner of such data makes suitable copies of all such data before the media is delivered to Vocas, and/or adequately insures itself against such loss.
