The Angenieux Optimo Ultra Compact 37-102mm represents the second generation of legendary lightweight optics. Replacing the industry-standard Optimo 15-40 and 28-76 lenses, this new standard zoom is purpose-built for modern Full Frame and VistaVision formats. It delivers the signature Angenieux look in a body that is among the lightest on the market, making it an essential tool for high-end cinematography.

Superior Optical Performance

Featuring a completely new optical design, the 37-102mm provides a constant T2.9 aperture across the entire 2.7x zoom range. The lens is engineered for perfect homogeneity in color, contrast, and resolution. With a close focus of 0.6m (2ft), it allows for intimate close-up shots without sacrificing image quality. The internal focus and zoom mechanisms ensure a constant lens volume, eliminating ramping and minimizing breathing.

Rugged Mechanical Engineering

Designed for the rigors of professional sets, the mechanics have been entirely reimagined. The lens utilizes the classic Angenieux rod mechanical guiding system for precise, repeatable movement. The focus ring offers a generous 310-degree rotation with user-optimized markings. Built to withstand extreme environments, it features passive athermalization for reliable operation from -20°C to +45°C.

Full Pack Versatility

This Full Pack version utilizes IRO (Interchangeable Rear Optics) Technology, allowing the lens to be configured for both Full Frame/VistaVision and Ultra 35 formats. It comes standard with a PL mount and supports Cooke Metadata for efficient post-production workflows. For focus pulling precision, it is compatible with ARRI FF4 and FF5 systems using the ARRI FF Gear 0.8 Module, 43 Tooth, 45mm K2.0020752.
