Anton Bauer ARRI Alexa 65 / SXT 24V Sharkfin Battery Bracket (V-Mount) product description
High-Performance 24V Power Solution
The Anton Bauer ARRI Alexa 65 / SXT 24V Sharkfin Battery Bracket is engineered to bridge the gap between standard 14.4V V-Mount batteries and the high-voltage requirements of the Alexa 65 and SXT. By utilizing two batteries simultaneously, this bracket provides the 24V necessary for reliable operation in demanding cinema environments.
Seamless Hot Swapping
Maintain continuous uptime with advanced hot-swapping capabilities. Because the Alexa 65 and SXT require high current, two batteries capable of a 10A sustained draw should be used. During camera idle, batteries can be swapped individually without interrupting power to the camera or connected accessories. The system also supports hot swapping between a block battery and onboard batteries via the DC input.
Integrated Accessory Power
Equipped with 4x P-Tap connectors, this bracket serves as a central power hub. Two P-Taps are located on each plate, ensuring your monitors, wireless transmitters, and follow-focus systems remain powered as long as at least one battery is attached. Note: P-Taps do not function when the camera is powered solely by a block battery without onboard batteries.
Intelligent Battery Monitoring
The Sharkfin module communicates directly with the camera by aggregating data from smart batteries. It provides a summarized information stream, allowing operators to view accurate battery percentages and runtime data directly on the camera body UI, LCD, and EVF.
Rugged and Secure Mounting
Installation is streamlined with four M3 thumbscrews for tool-less attachment. For high-vibration environments, a hidden Allen wrench is stored on the plate for additional tightening. A protective cover plate is included to safeguard the pogo pins during transit. Safety Note: Voltage is present on the pogo pins when a battery is installed; do not attach batteries unless the bracket is securely mounted to the camera.
