Featuring the same Super 35 sensor and REVEAL Color Science as the Premium model, the Base version provides a cost-effective entry point without compromising on the 17 stops of dynamic range that have redefined digital cinema.

Designed to grow with your career, the ALEXA 35 Base utilizes a unique licensing system. This allows owner-operators to unlock high-end features only when needed, whether for a single week or a permanent upgrade. Available licenses include:

• ARRIRAW License: Unlocks uncompressed recording for maximum post-production flexibility.
• 120 fps License: Enables high-speed capture for stunning slow-motion sequences.
• Open Gate/Anamorphic License: Provides access to the full sensor area and anamorphic de-squeeze.
• Look License: Grants access to ARRI Textures and the extensive ARRI Look Library.
• Pre-record License: Captures up to 20 seconds of footage before the record button is pressed.

Professional Workflow and Connectivity

The Base model is identified by its blue jog wheel and comes equipped for professional sets. It supports ProRes recording up to 60 fps in 4K 16:9 and features three independent 10-bit monitoring outputs. With support for Log C4, Rec 2020, and HDR color spaces, it integrates seamlessly into high-end workflows while utilizing the efficient Codex Compact Drive Express for reliable data management.
