Atomos Sumo PRO-19 – 19″ 4K Monitor-Recorder-Switcher

The Atomos Sumo PRO-19 is a 19-inch 4K HDR monitor-recorder-switcher designed for on-set monitoring, video village, live production, technical monitoring and connected camera workflows.

Its 3840 x 2160 4K UHD touchscreen display delivers 1200nit brightness and wide colour support, making it suitable for directors, camera operators, DITs and production teams who need a larger, clearer monitoring station on set.

Sumo PRO-19 records in professional formats including Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, Avid DNx and H.265. It supports up to 8Kp30 RAW recording, up to 4Kp60 DCI / UHD workflows and recording to CFexpress Type B media or compatible external USB-C storage.

For multi-camera work, the monitor can record up to four isolated 1080p60 camera feeds plus a fifth program output. Quad-view and multi-camera monitoring make it useful for live switching, compact multicam productions and fast on-set review.

Built-in camera control allows touchscreen adjustment of key parameters on supported cameras, including start/stop, ISO, shutter, aperture, white balance and touch-to-focus. This is especially useful when cameras are mounted on cranes, jibs, ceiling rigs or other places humans sensibly do not want to keep climbing toward.

Professional monitoring tools include EL Zone false colour, waveform, vectorscope, RGB parade, zebras, focus peaking, zoom, frame guides, safe areas, grid markers and anamorphic de-squeeze. Custom 3D/1D LUTs can be loaded using .cube files for real-time preview and monitoring workflows.

Connectivity includes 2x 12G-SDI inputs, 2x 3G-SDI inputs, 12G-SDI output and HDMI 2.0 input/output up to 4K60p. Wi-Fi 6E and RJ45 Ethernet support connected workflows, including NDI HX3 transmit and receive, Camera to Cloud upload and network-based monitoring.

Sumo PRO-19 supports direct progressive upload to ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, Dropbox and other cloud platforms over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. AirGlu RF and Bluetooth wireless timecode allow the unit to act as a timecode hub for multicamera productions.

Audio support includes two balanced XLR inputs with selectable 48V phantom power, balanced XLR outputs, embedded HDMI/SDI audio, built-in speaker confidence monitoring and a 3.5mm headphone output.

The monitor is built with an aluminium and ABS plastic chassis, active fan cooling, integrated carry handle, removable feet and multiple mounting points. It measures 474 x 315 x 62mm, weighs 7.1kg and supports VESA 100 x 100 mounting for carts, stands and custom rig setups.
