The BirdDog 4K HDMI is engineered for high-end video production, featuring a custom NDI silicon chip housed in a durable aircraft-grade aluminium chassis. Supporting resolutions up to 4Kp60, this versatile hardware allows for seamless encoding and decoding of Full NDI streams with uncompromising quality.

Advanced Connectivity and 12G SDI

Equipped with HDMI 2.0 and 12G SDI inputs and outputs, the 4K Family ensures maximum compatibility across your production workflow. The built-in cross converter allows 12G SDI inputs to be looped out via HDMI 2.0, and vice versa, providing essential flexibility for complex setups. Note: the HDMI port is not enabled on the QUAD model.

High-Speed Networking with SFP+

The industry-standard SFP+ port enables 10GbE connectivity, supporting short, medium, and long-range fiber connections. Whether you are running 1GbE or 10GbE protocols, the BirdDog 4K HDMI maintains stable performance over significant distances.

Integrated Tally and Audio Intercom

Streamline your production with a built-in NDI Tally system that requires zero configuration. A large, visible Tally light keeps on-air talent informed, while user-selectable Tally borders appear on the loop out. The unit also supports BirdDog’s Comms Pro and Central Pro applications for professional audio intercom and routing.

Automation and Power

Take control with the RESTful API, allowing for custom automation across BirdDog hardware endpoints. With Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, installation is simplified by delivering power and data through a single cable.
