This warranty extension builds upon the standard manufacturer protection. For products with a standard 12-month warranty (which often becomes 24 months through authorized resellers), this plan increases total coverage to 5 years. For equipment with a standard 3-year warranty, the total protection period extends to 6 years. Any components with shorter coverage under standard terms receive a proportional extension.

Eligibility and Purchase Window

To qualify for this coverage, the Extended Warranty must be purchased alongside the equipment or within two months of the original purchase date. Please note that the coverage period is calculated from the original date of purchase. Proof of purchase is required if the warranty is bought separately from the hardware.

Terms and Conditions

The extended plan operates under the same trusted terms as the Blackmagic Design Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty. It covers manufacturing defects but excludes normal wear and tear, damage from abnormal use, or operation in hostile environments. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the user, except in cases where the unit is confirmed as dead on arrival (DOA).
