The Blackmagic StudioBridge 10G PWR is a high-performance converter designed to integrate 10G Ethernet SMPTE-2110 devices into high-end redundant 100G Ethernet systems. By bridging eight separate 10G channels into a redundant pair of 100G connections, this unit allows broadcasters to combine multiple cameras or converters into a modern 100G IP video infrastructure.
High-Power PoE++ Support
Equipped with four internal power supplies, the StudioBridge 10G PWR provides a massive 90W of PoE++ power to each of its eight 10G Ethernet ports. This enables users to power studio cameras and converters directly through the network cable, simplifying cable management and reducing the need for local power sources at each camera position.
Seamless Redundancy and SMPTE Standards
This converter fully conforms to the SMPTE-2110 standard for transport and synchronization of 10-bit video, audio, and ancillary data. For mission-critical reliability, it supports SMPTE 2022-7 Seamless Protection Switching. By sending identical data across two separate 100G network connections, the system reconstructs perfect video frames even if one connection fails, ensuring zero dropped frames.
Comprehensive Monitoring and Control
The 2RU rack mount design is built for the demands of live production. It features a front panel LCD for visual monitoring of video inputs and outputs, along with a built-in speaker and headphone jack for audio verification. A dedicated NMOS connection is included for seamless routing of IP sources, while dual redundant AC power supplies ensure continuous operation in professional environments.
