The AJA HA5-4K is a high-performance Mini-Converter designed to bridge the gap between HDMI devices and professional SDI workflows. As an increasing number of 4K products utilize HDMI outputs, the HA5-4K provides an essential link, converting a single HDMI cable signal into four 3G-SDI outputs for seamless integration into broadcast and cinema environments.

Pristine 4K and UltraHD Support

Supporting resolutions up to 4096x2160 (4K) and 3840x2160 (UltraHD), the HA5-4K handles high frame rate content up to 50/60 fps. This makes it an ideal solution for live productions and cinematic projects requiring fluid motion and high-resolution clarity. When working with standard HD signals, the unit automatically senses the input and provides a single 3G-SDI output, similar to the AJA HA5-Plus.

Advanced HDR Analysis

High Dynamic Range (HDR) provides a wider color gamut and deeper contrast for true-to-life imagery. The HA5-4K supports HDR infoframe data analysis over HDMI. By using the AJA Mini-Config software, professionals can monitor and manage HDR metadata to ensure consistent visual quality across the production chain.

Synchronized Audio and Easy Configuration

Audio integrity is maintained with support for up to 2-channels of embedded HDMI audio, which are passed directly to the SDI outputs. For setup and firmware updates, the AJA Mini-Config software offers a graphical interface via USB, allowing for detailed control over input and output parameters.

Built for Field and Studio Use

The compact, portable design allows the HA5-4K to be mounted behind monitors, in equipment racks, or directly onto camera rigs. Each unit includes a universal power supply with international plugs and a locking power connector to prevent accidental disconnection during critical shoots.
