Named after the light-drenched town that inspired Van Gogh, these lenses feature a fast T1.4 aperture to excel in low-light environments and provide a shallow depth of field for precise narrative focus. The series ensures even brightness transitions and high-resolution rendering even at wide-open apertures.

Advanced Optical Engineering

Each lens utilizes multi-layer nano-coating technology with a calibrated blue coating to minimize reflections and ghosting. The internal structure features sandblasting and anodizing to create a micro-level anti-reflective coating, ensuring sharp images even in backlit scenarios. With a consistent 5000K color temperature across the entire range, the Arles series delivers a natural, neutral visual style that simplifies color grading in post-production.

Cinematic Rendering and Bokeh

Equipped with 16 aperture blades, the Arles Primes produce smooth, circular bokeh and painterly transitions between in-focus and out-of-focus areas. Floating lens elements minimize aberrations during focus shifts, while minimal focus breathing keeps the viewer immersed in the frame. The 14mm, 21mm, and 25mm focal lengths incorporate aspherical elements to maintain resolution and correct wide-angle distortion and astigmatism.

Large Format and Vista Vision Coverage

Designed for versatility, these lenses cover Full Frame and Vista Vision sensors. They support medium format (43.8 x 32.9mm) for focal lengths 25mm to 50mm and large format sensors like the ALEXA 65 (54.12 x 25.59mm) for focal lengths 75mm to 180mm. This makes the set suitable for everything from independent projects to large-scale film productions.

Standardized Mechanical Design

The Arles series features a uniform 95mm front diameter and 86mm filter thread (note: the 14mm lens is incompatible with threaded filters). Most lenses share a consistent length and weight between 1.4 and 1.9 kg, allowing for rapid lens swaps on gimbals, drones, and Steadicams. The 0.8 MOD gear pitch and interchangeable PL/EF mounts ensure seamless integration with industry-standard accessories and various cinema camera bodies.
