The Metabones Canon FD to Micro Four Thirds Speed Booster Ultra (0.71x) allows photographers to mount full-frame Canon FD and FL lenses onto MFT camera bodies. This advanced optical adapter reduces the crop factor of the sensor, effectively increasing the angle of view by 0.71x and providing a full-frame aesthetic on smaller sensors.
Enhanced Optical Performance
By condensing light from the full-frame lens onto the MFT sensor, the Speed Booster increases the maximum aperture by exactly one f/stop. This makes your vintage glass more effective in low-light environments and allows for a shallower depth of field. The design ensures infinity focus is maintained while preserving the optical quality of lenses with floating elements (CRC).
Premium Construction and Design
Metabones utilizes precision-machined brass with chromium plating on both the camera and lens mounts to ensure durability and a smooth mounting experience. The adapter features a detachable tripod foot compatible with Arca Swiss, Markins, and Photo Clam ball heads.
Important Compatibility Notes
Please note that this is a manual adapter. Automatic diaphragm (AE metering) and other electronic functions are not supported. This updated version is compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M1. The included aperture ring can be toggled between clicked and clickless operation without additional parts.
