Professional 4K Remote Camera with 1-inch Sensor
The Sony BRC-X1000 is a flagship 4K remote camera designed for broadcast environments, large auditoriums, and houses of worship. Combining uncompromising image quality with smooth, silent PTZ operation, it serves as an ideal primary or complementary camera in multi-camera setups. Its compact design allows for unobtrusive placement in hard-to-reach positions while maintaining professional-grade output.
Uncompromised 4K Image Quality
At the heart of the BRC-X1000 is a large 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor. This back-illuminated sensor captures detail-packed 4K footage at 30p, offering four times the pixel count of Full HD. The large sensor size also enables beautiful bokeh effects with a shallow depth of field, providing greater artistic control. For fast-moving action, the camera also supports Full HD 60p and a cinematic 24p mode.
Precision Zeiss Optics and Powerful Zoom
Equipped with a high-quality Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens, the camera features a 12x optical zoom range that covers everything from wide-angle scenes to tight close-ups. Sony's Clear Image Zoom technology extends this range to 18x in 4K and 24x in HD without losing resolution. In Tele Convert Mode, the HD zoom can be further doubled to 48x while maintaining 1920x1080 resolution.
Advanced PTZ and Motion Control
The BRC-X1000 offers near-silent remote control of pan, tilt, and zoom functions. PTZ Motion Sync smoothly blends separate movements for professional transitions, while PTZ Trace Memory allows sequences to be memorized and repeated. With up to 100 preset positions, operators can accurately re-frame shots or track subjects with ease.
Seamless Broadcast Integration
Designed for professional workflows, the camera includes versatile video outputs such as dual-link 3G-SDI (x4) and HDMI. It supports PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) to simplify cabling and features Genlock for easy integration into multi-camera broadcast environments. Control is flexible via the supplied IR remote, the optional RM-IP500 Remote Control Unit, or Sony's RCP-1500/1501/1530 and MSU-1000/1500 panels over IP networks.
