The ARRI ALEXA LF camera system brings the legendary ARRI image quality to the world of large-format production. Featuring a sensor slightly larger than full frame, the ALEXA LF records native 4.5K resolution, allowing filmmakers to explore a unique aesthetic while maintaining the natural colorimetry and pleasing skin tones the ALEXA family is known for. With its massive dynamic range, this system is purpose-built for demanding HDR workflows and high-end feature film production.

Versatile Recording and High-Speed Performance

Designed for maximum flexibility on set, the ALEXA LF supports efficient Apple ProRes and uncompressed, unencrypted ARRIRAW. It excels in slow-motion cinematography, reaching speeds of 90 fps in LF Open Gate and up to 150 fps in LF 2.39:1. These high frame rates, combined with the sensor's true 800 ASA sensitivity and reduced noise, ensure stunning clarity in every frame.

The LPL Lens Mount Standard

The system introduces the LPL (Large Positive Lock) lens mount, specifically optimized for large-format sensors. With a 62 mm diameter and 44 mm flange depth, it accommodates ARRI Signature Primes and other high-performance glass. The included PL-to-LPL adapter ensures backwards compatibility with all PL mount lenses, supporting LDS-1, LDS-2, and /i metadata protocols without the need for tools.

Integrated Wireless and Advanced Monitoring

The ALEXA LF streamlines your rig with integrated wireless video, ARRI ECS, and WiFi radios. This internal design eliminates the need for external transmitters, reducing cable clutter and speeding up setup times. Monitoring is handled by the EVF-2 Electronic Viewfinder, which features a high-end ARRICAM eyepiece and improved image quality for more accurate judging of focus and dynamic range across all temperatures.
