The Blackmagic Video Assist 5 inch 12G HDR is a professional monitoring and recording solution designed for any SDI or HDMI camera. Supporting all formats up to 4K DCI, this portable device features a super bright 2500nit screen, making it ideal for outdoor use and high-dynamic-range workflows.
Professional HDR Monitoring
The high-brightness 5-inch display ensures clear visibility even in direct sunlight. With support for 3D LUTs and integrated professional scopes - including waveform, parade, vectorscope, and histogram - you can accurately judge exposure, focus, and color on every set.
Advanced 12-Bit Recording
Record in broadcast-quality 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes or DNx formats directly to SD cards. For maximum flexibility, the Video Assist supports 12-bit Blackmagic RAW from compatible cameras and allows recording directly to external USB-C media disks for faster post-production workflows.
