Decimator DMON-12S: 12 Channel Multi-Viewer w/ HDMI & SDI Outputs for 3G/HD/SD product description
Professional 12-Channel Multi-Viewer and Multiplexer
The Decimator DMON-12S is a versatile and portable (3G/HD/SD)-SDI 1 to 12 channel Multi-Viewer or 12 to 1 input multiplexer. Designed for professional broadcast and live production environments, it supports both 3G level A and B on all inputs and outputs, allowing for seamless conversion between the two standards.
Advanced Customization and Overlays
This unit offers unparalleled control over your monitoring setup. Users can load and restore custom layouts or choose from various standard configurations. Each window is completely independent, allowing any combination of 3G/HD/SD formats and frame rates to be displayed simultaneously. Professional overlays include:
- UMD Overlays: 16-character text per window with custom positioning and sizing.
- Audio Metering: 16-channel metering per window with individual enables.
- Safe Areas: Adjustable Safe Action and Safe Title overlays with center cross markers.
- Tally Support: Up to 4 tallies per window (Green, Red, Blue, Yellow) via 32 GPI or TSL protocol.
Standalone Operation and Connectivity
The DMON-12S features an integrated LCD and button control system, eliminating the need for complicated dip switches or a computer for basic configuration. For advanced setups, the unit includes a USB port for firmware updates and control. The heavy-duty metal housing ensures durability in the field, while the metal thread locking DC power socket prevents accidental power loss.
Technical Versatility
- 12 x (3G/HD/SD)-SDI inputs with auto-detection of 26 different formats.
- Linked (3G/HD/SD)-SDI and HDMI outputs for flexible monitoring.
- Pass-Through mode to route any of the 12 inputs to both outputs.
- Low latency buffering for each input to accommodate non-synchronous sources.
- RS422/485 on a 37-pin D-SUB for dynamic UMD and TSL protocol tallies.
