The DZOFILM Vespid Prime 12mm T2.8 is a compact, high-performance cine lens designed for full-frame sensors. With a 46.5mm image circle, it provides expansive coverage for architectural, landscape, and immersive documentary filmmaking. Its lightweight design, weighing between 732g and 940g, makes it an ideal choice for gimbal and drone work.
Apochromatic Optical Design
Featuring an APO design, this lens minimizes chromatic aberration while delivering gentle sharpness and vivid clarity. The neutral color rendering ensures a natural look with soft skin tones, making it a perfect match for other lenses in the Vespid Prime series during A-roll and B-roll transitions.
Exceptional Bokeh and Control
Equipped with a 16-blade diaphragm, the Vespid 12mm produces a pleasingly round and soft bokeh. The transition between focus and out-of-focus areas is organic and emotional. Filmmakers can also utilize the magnetic rear element to attach ND filters, allowing for precise exposure control without sacrificing shallow depth of field.
Professional Build and Versatility
The lens features a consistent T2.8 to T22 aperture range and negligible focus breathing for immersive storytelling. The native PL and EF mounts are interchangeable, and the lens is compatible with DZOFILM Octopus adapters for L, X, E, and RF mount systems.
