Professional Modular Handle System

The Mid49 Rainbow Handle Kit is a highly versatile, modular handle system designed for professional cinema camera builds. Its flexible architecture allows for numerous configurations, including the popular Hollywood or Panavision-style setup where the handle extends down behind the battery for improved balance and ergonomics.

Seamless Integration

The main handle section features an ARCA Swiss dovetail shape, ensuring a secure interface with any Mid49 Top Plate or Upper Cage. This design also maintains compatibility with a wide range of third-party ARCA clamps, providing a quick-release solution for fast-paced production environments.

Advanced Accessory Support

Included in the kit is the Multi-Function Rod Bracket (MFRB 15mm LW). This bracket features lightweight-spaced 15mm rod openings running front-to-back, along with a sideways 15mm rod opening. This allows operators to easily attach viewfinder mounts, microphone shockmounts, or other essential accessories.

Robust Mounting Options

For heavy camera builds requiring maximum stability, the kit includes two 3/8-16 screws. These allow the Rainbow Handle to be bolted directly to cheeseplates with hole spacing up to 76mm center-to-center, bypassing the ARCA clamp when necessary. The 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm sections are equipped with:

• 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes
• ARRI locating pins for anti-twist security
• M4x20mm mounting points

The included 90-degree bend piece allows for downward handle orientation and features additional 3/8-16 threads with ARRI locating pins on the bottom for further expansion.
