Porta Brace Modular rain cover system for Sony FX5

The PortaBrace MRC-FX5XLR is a modular rain-cover system for Sony FX5 rigs that extend beyond the bare camera body. It protects the camera and XLR top handle while accommodating common cinema accessories such as a longer lens, matte box and external monitor. This makes it a better fit for documentary, broadcast, commercial and narrative setups that need full weather coverage.

The system starts with the custom RS-FX5XLR camera cover and adds dedicated modules for a medium cine lens, a matte-box-width lens area, a 5–7-inch monitor and the XLR handle with microphone. The sections can be configured around the rig in use, reducing excess material while maintaining visibility and access to controls, media, batteries and connections.
