Radius 15cm Nimbus Windshield (19/22), Black Fur product description
Professional Wind Protection for Shotgun Microphones
The Radius Nimbus 15cm Windshield is a high-performance slip-on windscreen designed for professional location sound and broadcast recording. Engineered for shotgun microphones with a 19-22mm diameter, this windshield provides a secure fit and reliable performance in challenging outdoor environments.
Constructed with premium black synthetic acoustic fur and a porous open-cell foam core, the Nimbus offers up to 25dB of wind-noise reduction. This design effectively mitigates interference from light to moderate winds while maintaining excellent high-frequency transparency, ensuring your audio remains crisp and natural.
The windshield features a snug rubber end cap that prevents unwanted airflow from entering behind the microphone capsule. Integrated pepper-pot vent holes further enhance acoustic clarity. This 15cm version is ideal for microphones where the sound-entry slots are located within 15cm of the tip.
Broad Compatibility
The Radius Nimbus 15cm is compatible with several industry-standard microphones, including:
- Rode NTG-1 and NTG-2
- Schoeps CMIT 5
- Sennheiser MKE 600
- Sanken CS-1e
