Radius Urchin Lav windshield, Black (Pair) product description
Professional Wind Protection for Miniature Lavaliers
The Radius Urchin Lavalier Windshield Pair provides essential protection for sound recordists working in challenging environments. These black synthetic-fur covers are specifically engineered for miniature lavalier microphones with a 2-4mm diameter. Measuring approximately 35mm across, they offer a low-profile solution for reducing unwanted wind noise during ENG interviews, dialogue recording, and location sound work.
Secure and Versatile Design
Each Urchin features a distinctive blue retaining strap that holds the windshield securely in place, preventing accidental loss during active shoots. Beyond wind protection, the soft synthetic fur is highly effective at reducing clothing rustle when a microphone must be concealed beneath wardrobe layers. This makes it an indispensable tool for both exposed and hidden mic placements.
Broad Compatibility
The Radius Urchin is designed to fit a wide range of industry-standard miniature microphones, including:
- DPA 6060
- Sanken COS-11
- Countryman B6
- Deity W.Lav Pro
- Sennheiser MKE 1
This product is supplied as a pair, ensuring you have high-quality wind protection for two microphones in your kit.
