Designed for high-end television, natural history, and motion picture sets, this system combines the versatility of Super35mm lens compatibility with the immense detail of 8K acquisition.
Advanced 8K S35 Sensor Technology
At the heart of the V-RAPTOR XL is a specialized 8K S35 sensor, optimized for filmmakers who utilize vintage primes or lightweight zooms. This sensor delivers 2x faster scan times than previous generations, enabling high-speed capture up to 120 fps at 8K and a staggering 600 fps at 2K. With 16-bit REDCODE RAW and the IPP2 color pipeline, you maintain total creative control over every frame.
Integrated Production Tools
The XL body is engineered to be a complete on-set solution, featuring a dual-voltage power system that supports both 14V and 24V batteries. Key features include:
- Internal Electronic ND: Precision exposure control in 1/4 stop increments for depth of field mastery.
- Extensive I/O: Four SDI outputs, wireless timecode, genlock, and dedicated 12V/24V auxiliary power for peripherals.
- Advanced Connectivity: Native Frame.io integration, AWS direct upload, and RED Connect for 8K live streaming.
