Advanced Vibration Isolation

Equipped with an integrated Rycote Lyre shock mounting system, the VideoMic isolates the capsule and electronics from the all-metal shoe mount. Unlike traditional elastic solutions, the Lyre is constructed from hard-wearing thermoplastic, ensuring it never sags, snaps, or wears out while providing superior protection against physical rumble and vibrations.

Precision Directional Recording

By utilizing a super-cardioid polar pattern, the VideoMic becomes highly directional. It focuses specifically on the subject in front of the lens, significantly reducing ambient noise and surrounding distractions. The native 40Hz to 20kHz frequency response can be further refined with a selectable 80Hz high-pass filter to block out low-end noise like traffic or HVAC systems.

Flexible Control for Any Environment

To handle diverse environments, the microphone features a selectable level attenuation (PAD) of -10dB and -20dB located inside the battery compartment. This allows for the clear recording of loud sound sources, such as live concerts or motorsports, without clipping. The unit is powered by a standard 9V battery and includes a 3.5mm mini-jack output for universal compatibility.
