Skaarhoj ETH-B4 Link product description
Professional Network-Based Camera Control
The Skaarhoj ETH-B4 Link provides a robust solution for controlling broadcast lenses over a network. While similar to the SDI-B4 Link, this version utilizes network data input instead of SDI, leveraging the Blackmagic Camera Control protocol over UDP. This "UDP Camera Control" setup is typically managed by a SKAARHOJ controller, offering a seamless integration into modern IP-based workflows.
Designed with an incredibly light and compact form factor, the ETH-B4 Link ensures that iris control data is transmitted independently from camera control data via Ethernet. This separation allows for precise lens management without taxing the primary video signal path.
Advanced Connectivity and Tally Integration
The device features a dedicated Hirose-12 connector for outputting iris data directly to the lens. A built-in camera selector switch allows users to easily set the camera ID filter and IP address. For studio environments, the ETH-B4 Link includes an integrated tally lamp (red/green) and a relay output for PGM tally out, ensuring operators always know the live status of their camera.
