Advanced X-OCN Recording Format

The AXS-R7 introduces X-OCN (Extended tonal range Original Camera Negative), a format that delivers 16-bit precision at significantly lower bitrates. Choose between X-OCN ST (Standard) for visually lossless quality at 70% the size of F55RAW, or X-OCN LT (Light) for 40% the data size. Both modes preserve metadata for ISO and color temperature, ensuring a non-destructive post-production workflow with full sensor data.

High-Speed 4K and 2K Capture

Unlock the full potential of the F55 with 4K RAW recording at up to 120 fps. For extreme slow motion, the AXS-R7 supports 2K RAW at up to 240 fps on both the F55 and F5, enabling 10x super slow-motion playback. Note: 4K 120 fps recording is exclusive to the F55 camera.

30-Second Cache Recording

Never miss a critical moment with the 4K RAW / X-OCN cache recording feature. While in standby, the recorder can capture up to approximately 30 seconds of footage at 23.98p. This is an essential tool for wildlife and documentary filmmakers capturing spontaneous action.

Rugged Design and Dual Media Slots

The all-metal casing is engineered for field use, featuring a ventilation shaft separated from electronic components to prevent dust and water ingress. Dual slots for high-speed AXSM A Series memory cards provide security and extended recording times. Please note that the AXS-R7 is not compatible with the HXR-IFR5 interface or original AXS-512S24 memory cards.
