Sony BRC-X1000 1” Exmor R CMOS 4K Camera product description
Professional 4K Remote Imaging
The Sony BRC-X1000 is a flagship 4K remote camera designed for broadcast environments, large venues, and professional studios. Combining a large 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS sensor with smooth, near-silent PTZ operation, it delivers uncompromising image quality in a compact, robotic form factor. It is an ideal solution for capturing footage in hard-to-reach positions, from TV newsrooms and remote studios to houses of worship and sports stadiums.
Uncompromised 4K and Low-Light Performance
Equipped with a back-illuminated 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS sensor, the BRC-X1000 captures detail-packed 4K 30p footage with four times the resolution of Full HD. This large sensor ensures excellent low-light sensitivity down to 1.7lx and allows for beautiful bokeh effects with a shallow depth of field to suit any artistic intention. For fast-moving action, the camera also supports Full HD 60p and a cinematic 24p mode for a rich, filmic look.
Advanced Zeiss Optics and Zoom Range
The integrated Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens features a 12x optical zoom range. Sony's Clear Image Zoom technology extends this to 18x in 4K or 24x in HD without losing resolution. In Tele Convert Mode, the HD zoom range can reach up to 48x while maintaining 1920x1080 resolution. This versatility makes it perfect for both wide-angle scenes and tightly framed close-ups.
Enhanced PTZ Control and Automation
Achieve professional transitions with PTZ Motion Sync, which blends pan, tilt, and zoom movements simultaneously. PTZ Trace Memory allows operators to record and recall complex camera sequences. The camera supports up to 100 preset positions for rapid re-framing, while the slow pan/tilt mode ensures precise, judder-free movement.
Seamless Broadcast Integration
The BRC-X1000 offers versatile connectivity including dual-link 3G-SDI (x4) and HDMI outputs. It features Genlock for multi-camera synchronization and PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) to simplify cabling. For studio use, it is compatible with Sony Remote Control Panels (RCP-1500/1501/1530) and Master Setup Units (MSU-1000/1500) over IP.
*The compatibility is described in Remote Camera System Guide.
