The Sony BRC-X1000W/AC is a flagship 4K remote camera designed for uncompromising broadcast picture quality. By combining a large 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS image sensor with smooth, silent PTZ operation, this camera delivers detail-packed 4K footage at 30p. Its excellent low-light sensitivity (down to 1.7lx) and ability to create beautiful bokeh effects make it ideal for TV newsrooms, remote studios, houses of worship, and live sports environments.

Advanced PTZ Performance and Motion Control

Experience precise remote operation with near-silent pan, tilt, and zoom functions. The BRC-X1000 features PTZ Trace Memory, allowing sequences of movements to be memorized and recalled. PTZ Motion Sync smoothly blends separate movements for professional transitions. With up to 100 preset positions, operators can accurately re-frame shots or track moving subjects with ease.

Superior Zeiss Optics and Intelligent Zoom

Equipped with a high-quality Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens, the camera offers a 12x optical zoom range. Sony's Clear Image Zoom technology extends this reach to 18x in 4K or 24x in HD without losing resolution. For even greater range, the Tele Convert Mode can double the HD zoom to 48x while maintaining 1920x1080 resolution.

Seamless Broadcast Integration

The BRC-X1000W/AC is built for professional workflows, featuring dual link 3G-SDI (x4) and HDMI video outputs. Genlock simplifies integration in multi-camera setups, while PoE+ (Power over Ethernet) reduces cabling requirements. The camera supports VISCA control over IP and is compatible with Sony Remote Control Panels (RCP-1500/1501/1530) and Master Setup Units (MSU-1000/1500).

Optimized for On-Air Use

Designed for live environments, the camera includes dual tally lamps on the front and rear. The front tally brightness is adjustable in two steps to suit different studio conditions. Firmware updates over IP ensure the system remains up to date with the latest performance improvements.
