The Sony HDCU-3100 is a compact camera control unit designed to bring IP capabilities to a wide range of broadcast and studio system cameras. Compatible with the flagship HDC-4300, the HDC-2000/1700 series, and HSC fiber system cameras, this CCU provides power, signal processing, and external interfacing via optical fiber.

Future-Proof IP and 4K Integration

By adding the HKCU-SFP30 option board, the HDCU-3100 supports SMPTE ST 2110 standards, enabling essential live IP production features like tally, intercom, and return. For high-resolution workflows, the optional HKCU-UHD30 4K/HDR Processor Board allows 4K signal output, while the HKCU-SDI30 kit enables 4K transfer via a single 12G-SDI BNC cable.

Versatile Connectivity and Compact Design

Occupying just 1.5 RU, the HDCU-3100 is ideal for space-constrained environments like OB trucks. It features eight built-in SDI outputs, including four 3G-SDI ports. Future updates will include a built-in USB connector and expanded 12G-SDI support.

• Long-Distance Transmission: Standard optical fiber supports runs up to 2000m. With the HKCU-SM30 kit, Single Mode Fiber (SMF) extends transmission up to 10km.
• Web Browser Control: Manage menu settings, monitor status, and perform remote firmware updates via a standard web browser.
