Advanced Media and Signal Management
Beyond standard camera painting, the RM-B170 allows for remote access to recorded files and media clips. The included 10m interconnect 8-pin cable provides an analogue composite output, enabling picture monitoring for all supported camcorder series (requires down-converter on HD models).
Precision Operational Features
The unit integrates seamlessly into professional workflows, serving as a compact alternative to RCP-700 series panels. Operators can perform automatic black and white adjustments, manage Extended Clear Scan (ECS) frequencies, and toggle electronic shutter functions. For cameras equipped with Slow Shutter (SLS), the RM-B170 can set the specific number of accumulated frames.
Multi-Camera Workflow Integration
In multi-camera environments, the RM-B170 supports parallel operation. When connected via a CCU, the camera can be controlled simultaneously by this unit and a master setup unit like the MSU-1000/1500 or an RCP-1000/1500 series panel. Note: Some CCU models do not support multiple control points.
Ergonomic and Durable Design
The front panel features two assignable buttons for custom functions like live logging or shot markers. High-brightness buttons with Superluminosity LEDs ensure clear status indication in both dark studios and bright outdoor sets. To prevent accidental setting changes, a protective guard surrounds critical operation buttons. The unit also includes a GPI interface (D-Sub 9-pin) for Red and Green Tally outputs and 12V DC input.
