The Sony UWP-D27 is a high-performance wireless microphone package designed for professional electronic news gathering (ENG), field production, and interviews. This kit includes two UTX-B40 bodypack transmitters and the URX-P41D two-channel portable receiver, providing a complete solution for capturing high-quality audio from two subjects simultaneously.

Advanced Digital Audio Processing

Experience uncompromised sound quality with Sony's advanced digital audio processing. This technology improves transient response performance between the transmitter and receiver, resulting in impressively natural sound. When used with the optional SMAD-P5 Multi Interface (MI) Shoe Adaptor, the system enables direct digital recording with compatible Sony cameras, bypassing unnecessary A/D and D/A conversion stages.

Fast and Reliable Frequency Sync

Setting up is effortless thanks to the NFC SYNC feature. By simply holding the NFC button on the receiver, the system automatically scans for the cleanest channel and syncs with the transmitter instantly. For users of older Sony systems, the URX-P41D remains backward compatible with the UTX-B03, UTX-M03, and UTX-P03 series via IR sync.

Stable Reception and True Diversity

To minimize signal dropouts, the system utilizes a true diversity reception scheme and antenna diversity. Two independent receiver sections ensure a stable signal even in challenging RF environments. The 21CE frequency band (470 to 542 MHz) provides a wide 72 MHz bandwidth for flexible operation across various locations.

Compact Design for Mobile Shooters

The URX-P41D receiver is remarkably light and compact, making it the perfect companion for handheld camcorders and DSLR setups. It features a variable output level control of +/-12dB and a High Gain mode to ensure optimal signal strength when connecting to different types of recording equipment.
