The Tiffen Multi Rota Tray is a precision-engineered geared rotating tray designed to integrate a 138mm circular polarizer into a standard 4x5.65" filter stage. Ideal for matte boxes without rotating stages, this kit provides cinematographers with exceptional control over reflections and glare without requiring bulky hardware changes.
Versatile Filter Combinations
Beyond standard polarization, the Multi Rota Tray offers expanded creative possibilities. By pairing the included 138mm filter with an optional 4x5.65" circular polarizer, the system functions as a Variable Neutral Density (VND) filter, providing up to 6 stops of light reduction. Depending on the orientation, it can also produce unique warm or cool effects.
Precision Engineering and Compatibility
Designed to fit matte boxes conforming to the ARRI R2 tray standard, the 6mm thick tray ensures a secure fit. Adjustments are seamless thanks to the geared design, which can be operated manually or via a standard 0.8 MOD (32 pitch) gear wheel on a follow focus for ultra-precise rotation during shots.
