The Tiffen 4x5.65" Water White Natural IRND 2.1 Filter is engineered for the demanding requirements of modern digital sensors. Providing a 7-stop exposure reduction, this 2.1 density filter allows cinematographers to maintain wide apertures for shallow depth of field or utilize slower shutter speeds to capture fluid motion, even in harsh lighting environments.

Advanced Infrared Protection

Unlike standard ND filters, the Natural IRND series is designed to provide nearly flat attenuation of both visible and infrared light. Digital sensors are highly sensitive to IR radiation, which often results in reddish or muddy color casts in dark areas of the frame. This filter eliminates IR pollution, ensuring that blacks remain deep and skin tones stay authentic without the need for heavy post-production correction.

Precision ColorCore Construction

Each filter is manufactured using Tiffen's proprietary ColorCore technology. This process involves laminating the filter material between two pieces of optical-grade Water White glass. The assembly is then ground flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This ensures exceptional clarity, color fidelity, and durability, as the internal filter layer cannot be scratched or damaged by surface wear.
