The Tilta Mini Clamp-on Matte Box is a lightweight and cost-effective solution designed specifically for filmmakers using DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Weighing only 140g (4.9oz), it provides essential light control without adding significant bulk to your setup, making it an ideal choice for handheld or gimbal-based cinematography.

Versatile Filter Support

This matte box offers two distinct filter options to suit your workflow. The front slot accommodates a standard 4x5.65 filter, while the included adapter rings feature internal threading for stackable screw-on filters. This dual-system approach ensures maximum flexibility for various shooting environments and creative needs.

Expandable Accessory Mounting

Despite its compact size, the Mini Matte Box features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw holes and cold shoe mounts. These allow for the easy attachment of small LED lights, microphones, or other essential accessories. The kit also includes a 15mm rod adapter to provide additional lens stability and support for the matte box weight, though it does not support lenses with telescoping front elements.

Comprehensive Kit and Compatibility

The package includes four lens adapter rings (82mm, 77mm, 67mm, and 72mm) to fit a wide range of lenses. The matte box clamps directly onto these rings for a secure fit. Additional non-standard and cine-style adapter rings are available separately to expand your kit's utility.

NOTE: To prevent vignetting, it is recommended to use focal lengths above 24mm for S35 sensors and above 35mm for full-frame sensors.
