Vocas MB-436 matte box

The Vocas MB-436 matte box is a lightweight and versatile 3-stage 4" x 5.65" matte box, designed for professional filmmakers. It fits directly onto lenses with a front diameter of 143 mm, providing a secure and stable setup. The matte box includes two rear 4” x 4” / 4” x 5.65” combo filter frames, with one fully rotatable, and a fixed 4” x 5.65” compartment inside the hood for additional filtering options.

For added versatility, the flexible donut ring kit allows for the use of a 138 mm round filter in the rear compartment, such as a polarizer. The MB-436 can easily transform from a clip-on matte box to a 15 mm LWS setup with the addition of a swing-away adapter. It also supports optional 15 mm studio or 19 mm rails mounting, and even allows for top 15 mm rail support—ideal for use with the Vocas Sliding System's quick balancing feature.

Vocas' patented internal eyebrows are integrated into the hood, optimizing flare control and reducing unwanted reflections. Additionally, integrated side flag hinges enable mounting of optional side flags (0440-0002) for enhanced light control. With a total weight of just 600 grams, the MB-436 is an excellent choice for both cine and DSLR applications.
