Professional Power Distribution for RED DSMC2

The Wooden Camera D-Box (RED DSMC2, Gold Mount) is a sophisticated power distribution solution designed specifically for RED DSMC2 Brains, including Monstro, Helium, Gemini, Weapon, Epic-W, Scarlet-W, and Raven. This custom module provides standardized remote start/stop, hot-swap capabilities, and a tool-less, cable-less interface that mounts directly to the camera body or expander modules like the Base Expander or Teradek O-Mods.

Comprehensive Connectivity

The D-Box features a contoured design to prevent cable collisions, offering a wide array of outputs:

• 2x 2-pin (12V)
• 2x 3-pin Fischer (24V) with R/S support
• 4x D-Tap (12V)
• 1x USB power port

The 3-pin Fischer port enables any ARRI standard start/stop trigger to communicate directly with the camera.

Intelligent Power Management and Hot Swapping

Equipped with a DC input identical to the camera's connector, the D-Box allows for uninterrupted power during battery swaps. When both a battery and DC source are connected, the system prioritizes the DC input. A built-in LED provides instant voltage status: Green (above 12.5V), Orange (12V to 12.5V), and Red (below 12V).

Advanced Circuit Protection

Traditional physical fuses are replaced by a processor-controlled amp limit, adjustable to 3.8, 5.8, or 9 amps via a side-mounted slide switch. If the limit is exceeded, only accessory power is disabled, ensuring the camera continues to run. A simple reset button restores accessory power once the load is reduced.

Compatibility Note: All Cable-less and D-Box products are compatible with RED 7.0+ firmware (IPP2).

Please Note: This product contains a secondary fuse for the D-tap ports within the battery plate fuse holder (F10A Fast Blow Fuse).

Special Power Note: While RED Brick batteries can supply up to 10A, it is recommended to limit accessory power draw to 4A or less to prevent battery shutdown.
