Constructed from stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminum, the mount ensures long-term durability and precise optical alignment. The kit includes a PL port cap and a comprehensive set of shims for fine-tuning back focus. While appropriate shims are pre-installed prior to shipping, users can perform further adjustments using a wide-angle lens and a focus chart to ensure perfect performance.

Installation and Reversibility

The modification process utilizes the camera's original EF mount screws to attach the new PL mount. While the process is reversible, it is important to note that the camera's sensor block is constructed from a composite plastic material. Frequent switching between mounts may eventually strip the plastic threading. All necessary tools for the conversion are included in the package.

Important Compatibility Information

The majority of modern S35mm lenses are compatible. However, lenses with a rear protrusion longer than 40mm, measured from the PL flange, are not compatible. Additionally, some lenses may not fit due to the specific physical design of the original Blackmagic body.
