The Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate Core Unit (No Dovetails) serves as the essential central assembly for the modular Unified Baseplate system. Designed for professional cinema workflows, this unit provides a stable foundation for 15mm rod-based accessories and quick-release transitions.
Versatile Rod and Dovetail Integration
This core unit allows 15mm rods to pass through from front to back, secured by two locking thumbscrews on each side. The top features a specialized ARCA Swiss shape dovetail slot, while the bottom includes an integrated ARRI dovetail slot. This allows for direct mounting to 2060 Dovetails, Safety Dovetails, or Shoulder Rigs.

Advanced Mounting Options
For operators requiring VCT-14 compatibility, the Unified Baseplate can be paired with the Unified VCT Wedge Plate. This setup enables rapid transitions to the Unified VCT-14 Tripod Plate while maintaining perfect counterbalance on the shoulder. Additionally, this unit is backwards compatible with the original Quick Dovetail (Standard) and Quick Dovetail (DSLR, Large).
