The AJA ColorBox is a compact, high-performance converter engineered for sophisticated color-managed workflows. Designed specifically for broadcast, live events, and on-set applications, it supports Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), High Dynamic Range (HDR), and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) signals. Utilizing 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0, it delivers single-wire 4K/UltraHD HDR up to 4:2:2 10-bit 60p or 4:4:4 12-bit 30p with a unique color processing pipeline.

Advanced Algorithmic Transforms

Built around a 33-point 3D LUT processor with tetrahedral interpolation, the AJA Color Pipeline offers unparalleled precision. It features four 1D LUTs and two 3x3 matrices, each configurable as Proc Amps or RGB Color Correctors. Users can access five processing pipelines, including Colorfront and NBCU LUTs, plus licensable options like ORION-CONVERT and BBC HLG LUTs for pixel-perfect color transforms.

Integrated Workflow Tools

Beyond color transforms, ColorBox includes a sophisticated test pattern generator and a 4K frame store. Capture 16-bit .tiff files for high-quality reference stills and overlay custom text or signal metadata directly onto the output. The device is easily managed via a web-based UI over Ethernet or wireless USB adapters, ensuring seamless integration with industry-standard tools like Pomfort Livegrade and Assimilate Live Looks.
