The Rode VideoMicro is a high-quality, compact microphone designed to significantly improve the audio of your videos. By incorporating a cardioid condenser microphone capsule, it delivers premium audio recordings across a wide range of cameras. Its directional pickup pattern focuses on the sound directly in front of the camera while reducing distracting peripheral noise, making it more forgiving than other on-camera microphones for a natural sound indoors.

Durable Construction and RF Rejection

Built for the rigors of content creation, the microphone body is constructed from aluminum. This provides a high level of RF rejection to prevent interference and is finished in Rode high-grade ceramic anti-glare black coating. Because it is powered by the camera's plug-in power (minimum 3V), no batteries are required, ensuring you never miss a shot.

Advanced Vibration Isolation

Included with the VideoMicro is a camera shoe mount featuring the Rycote Lyre shock mount. This suspension structure is made of hard-wearing thermoplastic, which is far more effective at minimizing unwanted vibrations and handling noise than traditional elastic suspensions. The Rycote Lyre is virtually indestructible and will never sag or snap.

Outdoor Ready

The package includes the WS9 synthetic furry windshield with a foam inner cell. This is specifically designed for outdoor use where wind and environmental noise can otherwise ruin a recording. For mobile creators, the optional Rode SC7 cable (TRS to TRRS) allows the VideoMicro to be used with smartphones for crystal-clear directional sound.
