Vocas EL-40 Eyepiece loupe base unit product description
Professional Monitoring with the Vocas EL-40
The Vocas EL-40 Eyepiece Loupe Base Unit serves as the high-performance optical core of the EL-40 monitoring system. Designed for professional cinematographers, it provides a magnified, high-contrast view of your camera's LCD screen, ensuring critical focus and exposure can be judged accurately even in direct sunlight or harsh outdoor environments.
Precision Optics and Focus Control
Achieving a sharp image is effortless thanks to the integrated red focus ring, which allows for rapid adjustment to match your individual eyesight. The unit comes standard with an M52 +1 close-up filter. For users requiring a broader adjustment range, such as eyeglass wearers, an optional M52 +2/+3 close-up filter set is available to further customize the viewing experience.
Seamless On-Set Workflow
The EL-40 is engineered for speed and versatility. Its innovative flip-up mechanism allows the loupe to be moved away from the screen in one fluid motion, granting immediate access to touchscreen controls without needing to detach the unit. This design ensures you never lose time switching between magnified viewing and menu navigation.
- Modular Design: Requires a camera-specific attachment (sold separately).
- Light Shielding: Eliminates glare for consistent monitor legibility.
- Expandable: Compatible with additional M52 filters for extended diopter range.
Sun Safety Notice
The EL-40 Eyepiece Loupe has been designed with carefully selected optics to minimize the risk of light concentration. However, when the loupe is not in use or the eye is not positioned against the eyecup, direct sunlight entering the loupe may act as a magnifying lens and cause damage to the camera's LCD screen.
Please ensure the loupe is folded away or the camera is shielded from direct sunlight whenever your eye is not in contact with the eyecup.
Vocas cannot be held responsible for LCD damage caused by direct sunlight entering the loupe.
