The Wooden Camera UMB-1 Universal Mattebox (Base) is engineered for versatility and speed on set. This modular system allows cinematographers to quickly transition between base, clamp-on, swing-away, and ultralight configurations, making it the ideal choice for handheld, gimbal, or studio setups.

Advanced Light Control

The UMB-1 comes standard with two rotating 4x5.65 filter stages, with the option to add a third stage if required. Each stage features individual tray catchers to ensure your filters remain secure. The included folding French flag provides additional flare protection, while the 143mm diameter opening accommodates a wide range of professional lenses.

Versatile Mounting and Integration

• NATO Accessory Rails: Located on the left, right, and top for seamless attachment of monitors and accessories.
• Adjustable Rod Bracket: A height-adjustable 15mm LW rod bracket is included, which can be adapted for studio rod use.
• Universal Cloth Donut: Features easy-to-grab finger loops for quick installation on various lens diameters.

This kit ships in a box with custom-cut foam. For professional transport, the foam can be removed and installed directly into a Pelican 1550 hard case (sold separately).
