Professional Quick Release Baseplate

The Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate is a versatile foundation for Sony FX9, FS7, and Canon C-series cameras. It provides lightweight 15mm rod support at the industry-standard lens height, ensuring compatibility with matte boxes and follow focus systems. The dual-locking thumbscrews per side ensure a secure, vibration-free setup for professional cinematography.

Dual Quick Release Functionality

This baseplate offers two distinct quick-release methods to suit your workflow:

• Camera Only: Unlock the right thumbscrew to slide the camera back and lift it away, leaving the 15mm rods attached to the baseplate. The camera-side dovetail follows the ARCA Swiss standard, allowing for easy integration with third-party gimbals and tripod heads.
• Full Rig Release: Unlock the left thumbscrew to remove the camera along with the 15mm rods. This reveals an integrated ARRI dovetail slot on the bottom, perfect for mounting directly to safety dovetails or shoulder rigs.

Advanced Mounting Options

The upper dovetail features a vertical 15mm rod opening, specifically designed to support lens adapter feet (like Metabones) directly in front of the camera body. For shoulder-mounted setups, the baseplate integrates seamlessly with the Unified VCT Wedge Plate for VCT-14 tripod compatibility. The lower quick dovetail includes 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for attaching to standard bridgeplates or tripod plates.
