The AJA FS4 is a flagship 1RU frame synchronizer and converter, offering unparalleled versatility for 4K/UltraHD and 2K/HD/SD workflows. Versatile Single or Four Channel Modes
The FS4 adapts to your production needs with two distinct operating modes. Single Channel Mode provides a full suite of 4K/UltraHD processing, including up, down, and cross-conversion to and from 2K, HD, or SD. Four Channel Mode offers four independent channels of simultaneous 2K/HD/SD conversion and processing, maximizing productivity for multi-channel high-density delivery.
High-Quality Hardware Conversion
Utilizing AJA's legendary conversion algorithms, the FS4 ensures the highest image quality with dedicated 10-bit hardware. It supports real-time up, down, and cross-conversion from SD, HD, or 2K over 12G/6G/3G-SDI to 4K or UltraHD. Both Quadrant (Square Division) and 2SI (Two Sample Interleave) output formats are supported for maximum compatibility across modern pipelines.
Massive Audio Routing and Connectivity
The FS4 features an incredible 272 x 208 audio matrix, allowing for complex disembedding and embedding between SDI, MADI, and AES. Connectivity is robust, featuring standard BNC and optional SFP inputs and outputs to support 12G-SDI workflows. A looping reference input ensures rock-solid stability by locking to your house reference signal.
Expandable 12G-SDI and Fiber Options
Tailor the FS4 to your facility with optional SFP modules, including 12G/6G-SDI HD-BNC and Fiber I/O. These options allow for cable runs up to 10 kilometers to be connected directly to the unit, eliminating the need for external fiber-to-SDI converters. Supported modules include:
