The Angenieux Optimo Ultra Compact 37-102mm represents the second generation of lightweight Optimo lenses. Replacing the Academy Award-winning 15-40mm and 28-76mm series, this lens is designed to meet the demands of modern Full Frame (FF) and VistaVision (VV) cinematography while maintaining the legendary Angenieux look.
Advanced Optical Performance
Featuring a completely new optical design, the Optimo Ultra Compact provides superb image quality starting at a fast T2.9 aperture. It delivers a perfect homogeneity of color, contrast, and resolution across the entire zoom range. With a 2.7x zoom ratio, the lens exhibits no ramping and minimal breathing, ensuring a consistent cinematic aesthetic for high-end productions.

Rugged and Ergonomic Mechanical Design
Built for extreme shooting environments, the lens features passive athermalization from -20°C to +45°C. The precise mechanical guiding system ensures smooth operation of the focus and zoom groups. The focus ring offers a 310° rotation with user-optimized markings, and the focus scales are easily interchangeable between feet and metric.
Full Pack Versatility and Metadata
This Full Pack version includes IRO (Interchangeable Rear Optics) Technology, allowing for use in both FF/VV and U35 configurations. It comes equipped with a PL mount and supports Cooke Metadata via an external connector, facilitating seamless data transfer to external drives or display units on set.
