The Sony VENICE 2 builds upon the legacy of the original VENICE, integrating a high-performance 6K full-frame sensor into a more compact, production-ready body. This configuration includes the DVF-EL200 viewfinder and both Full-Frame and Anamorphic licenses, providing a complete solution for high-end cinema, commercials, and episodic television.

Exceptional 6K Full-Frame Sensor

The 36x24mm full-frame sensor is designed specifically for the rigors of modern cinematography. It offers a maximum resolution of 6048 x 4032 and provides 15+ stops of latitude. This ensures phenomenal image quality with minimal noise, whether shooting in harsh sunlight or low-light interiors. The sensor high-speed readout minimizes the jello effect common in CMOS sensors, ensuring stable motion capture.

Advanced Color Science and Dynamic Range

VENICE 2 exceeds the BT.2020 color space, offering a range wider than DCI-P3. By utilizing Sony S-Log3 and S-Gamut3.Cine workflow, cinematographers can achieve stunning color reproduction and flexible grading options. The 6K sensor features Dual Base ISO 500 and 2500, allowing for clean, high-dynamic-range capture across various lighting conditions.

Internal 16-bit X-OCN and ProRes Recording

One of the most significant upgrades in the VENICE 2 is the ability to record 16-bit X-OCN and 4K ProRes 4444 or 422 HQ internally. By eliminating the need for an external recorder, the camera remains compact and lightweight, making it ideal for use on gimbals, Steadicams, and drones. This streamlined workflow speeds up on-set transitions and simplifies data management.

Versatile Shooting Modes and Mechanical NDs

With the included licenses, the VENICE 2 supports a wide array of formats:
