It exceeds the BT.2020 color space, offering a palette wider than DCI-P3. Integrated S-Log3 and S-Gamut3 workflows ensure seamless grading and perfect color matching across the Sony CineAlta lineup.
Internal 16-bit X-OCN and ProRes Recording

By eliminating the need for external recorders, the VENICE 2 maintains a compact, lightweight profile ideal for gimbals, Steadicams, and drone operations. This internal recording capability preserves the full dynamic range and color depth of the 8.6K sensor while simplifying on-set setups.
Dual Base ISO and Mechanical ND Filters
The 8K sensor features Dual Base ISO 800 and 3200, providing exceptional low-light performance without sacrificing dynamic range. To manage exposure instantly, the camera includes a built-in 8-step mechanical ND filter mechanism (0.3 to 2.4). This servo-controlled system is a world-first for cinema cameras, allowing for rapid adjustments in changing light conditions without swapping external glass.
