The Wooden Camera Unified DSLR Cage (Large) is a versatile, height-adjustable rigging solution designed specifically for professional-sized camera bodies. Whether you are shooting with a Canon 1DX, Nikon D5, or a standard DSLR with a battery grip installed, this cage provides a secure, quick-release foundation without obstructing vital controls.

Modular Design and Accessibility

Featuring a minimalist open-shoe design, this cage ensures that hot shoe accessories remain unobstructed. The right-hand grip and left-side controls remain fully accessible, allowing for seamless operation during high-pressure shoots. The included reversible top handle can be repositioned over the lens for better balance when using XLR adapters or folded down for compact storage.

Integrated Mounting and Protection

The cage is equipped with a 15mm tube clamp and a cold shoe mount for electronic viewfinders and UVF kits. To safeguard your hardware, an HDMI cable clamp mounts directly to the vertical rod, preventing port damage and accidental cable disconnects. The height-adjustable 15mm lightweight rod clamp ensures your mattebox and follow focus units align perfectly with the lens center.

Note: For Nikon D800, D810, or D850, the Unified DSLR Cage Vertical Rod (Medium) and 15mm Baseplate are recommended for optimal rod height.
